Good morning, Colorado.

We now have three wildfires burning in the foothills around metro Denver. But before we get to that, I need to address something: We messed up.

After publishing a story about bipartisanship at the Colorado legislature, we discovered a tabulation error in our analysis that changed our findings. Instead of seeing high levels of bipartisanship, we found the second-lowest rate of bipartisanship in the five years weโ€™ve been analyzing votes.

Accuracy and transparency are at the core of what we do. If we are to hold others accountable, we must do the same to ourselves. And if you read Mondayโ€™s story, we hope you take the time to see the updated version to clarify your understanding of the issue.

Now, letโ€™s check in on todayโ€™s news.
