Tony Cheng, Colorado State University
Tony Cheng is a professor at Colorado State University in the Forest & Rangeland Stewardship department and Director Emeritus of the Colorado Forest Restoration Institute (CFRI), a congressionally-designated program to bridge scientific research and on-the-ground practitioners to address forest and wildland fire resilience challenges. His research focuses on conditions and strategies influencing collaborative stewardship of forests. During his 16 years as CFRI Director, Tony oversaw programs of work to translate science into locally-relevant and actionable knowledge to address forest resilience and wildfire risk management goals.
