Anyone who has done much hiking or biking in Colorado lately likely knows that the state’s already-busy trail systems seems to be more popular than ever.
And if you’ve had the misfortune of trying to park at one of those trailheads, then you surely know the consequences of that increased popularity pretty well.
Jefferson County may have found a solution. The county is launching a new pilot partnership with the ride-hailing service Lyft that is aiming to give open space users some relief in the form of discounted rides to four packed trailheads.
The four trailheads are the Table Mountain Park — West Trailhead, South Table Mountain Park — Camp George West Trailhead, South Table Mountain Park — Golden Hills Access, and White Ranch Park — East Trailhead.
Users will need to input “JCOS2021” the first time they want to use the discount code. The discount will be automatically applied after they input the code after the first time.
The discounts will be available during park hours, seven days a week.
