We’ve all been subject to recent efforts to limit and censor public information nationally, and history shows us the perilous results of state-sponsored news — and why independent media is so crucial to democracy.

During Sunshine Week, a nonpartisan collaboration to shine a light on the importance of public records and open government, we thought we’d quiz you on your knowledge of that trend in our own state. Can you answer these eight questions on actual incidents involving Colorado reporters, including some from The Colorado Sun?
