Democratic U.S. Rep. Yadira Caraveo and Republican state Rep. Gabe Evans are running against each other in Colorado’s highly competitive 8th Congressional District.

The toss-up district spans Denver’s northeastern suburbs along U.S. 85 into Greeley. Caraveo beat her Republican opponent in 2022 by roughly 1,600 votes.

We asked Evans and Caraveo about their stances on major issues, like the economy, immigration and the environment. Our questions, asked during interviews with each candidate, were informed in large part by reader responses to the Voter Voices 2024 survey

The candidates are listed in the order they appear on the ballot.
