Colorado has a major shortage of homes. The supply crunch has put the American dream of homeownership out of reach for thousands of middle class families, and left a majority of tenants paying more in rent than experts consider affordable.
Join us for a panel of housing professionals from the Front Range to the mountains about the state of housing in Colorado. How did we get here? What actions have state and local governments taken that will help? And what future policies should state and local officials consider to address the remaining barriers to affordable home ownership and renting?
Jason Peasley is the Executive Director of the Yampa Valley Housing Authority. Gov. Jared Polis appointed Peasley to the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority in 2023. Previously, he served as a city planner for the City of Steamboat Springs. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from Michigan State University.
