The Democratic primary for U.S. Senate in Colorado is expected to accelerate next week when the two candidates meet in their first two debates the week that ballots start hitting the mail
John Hickenlooper and Andrew Romanoff are competing for a chance to challenge Republican U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner in the November election. Democrats and unaffiliated voters can cast ballots in the June 30 primary election.
The second of the back-to-back debates is hosted by The Colorado Sun and TV partners CBS4 and PBS12. It will take place remotely, at the request of Hickenlooper’s campaign, and air June 10 at 6 p.m.
